·       End: Words at ends of lines rhyme; confining

 

·       Internal:  Words inside lines rhyme (767)

 

·       Eye: Words look like they would sound alike & fit the rhyme scheme, but they do not rhyme

·       Slant: The sound of two words is close & rhyme scheme is being respected, but the two words do not quite rhyme (827)

             

Alliteration: Repetition of same-sounding letters

·       Consonance: Consonants:

·       Initial Alliteration:  1rst sound is repeated & 1rst letter is a consonant:  754, compare Ll. 5 & 6

·       Assonance: Vowel sounds

These can convey emotion:
